Civil Defence

Alan Bathurst in the late 1950s or early 1960s in his Civil Defence uniform.

Because Allan Bathurst was an invalid he could not be called up in WWII, so He became a radio ham and decoded Morse messages, which it was said helped to find the Bismark.

Alan also had a band and they played for many dances during WWII.
