Dear Auntie, Uncle and Gwen.Having a bon time, hope you all well. I am placing some flowers on the cenotaph tomorrow in memory of Den, George, Len, Arthur, Tom.

Dear Mrs Clayton

I hope you don’t think that I’ve forgotten you. I called once or twice but you were out. Hope you enjoyed the visit to Oxford.

I’m on holiday here at Mr Lingard’s.

I am coming to Maud’s at the feast so will call & see you,
