Annual Meeting of the Company - A Splendid Report

The first annual meeting of the shareholders of the Wellingborough Motor Omnibus Co. Took place on Monday. Ald. G. Henson presided.

The report showed that the whole of the capital has been subscribed. The property of the company has been well maintained, and the directors are giving careful attention to new services.

The passengers carried during the 12 months numbered 1,029,032. The amount available for distribution, after allowing for all expenses, directors’ fees, maintenance, and depreciation was £2,785. The directors recommended a dividend of 12½ per cent. per annum (which would absorb £956); that £1,000 be placed to reserve; and that £828 be carried forward to the next account. This report and balance sheet were passed and the dividend as recommended was agreed to. The directors were re-elected.
