The Skill Competitions – Rushden and Irthlingborough Successes

Yesterday the awards of the judges in the skill competitions held at the Shoe and Leather Fair were announced. Local winners:-

Patterns cut to lasts.—The first prize (£2) and second prize (25/0) were divided between Mr. Mapp, 76 Park-lane, London, and Mr. W. Goode, 16 Essex-road, Rushden, each of whom will receive £1/12/6 and diploma.

Pattern grading.—First prize (£2) and diploma, Mr. W. Billing, Burton Latimer; second prize (25/0) and certificate, Mr. W. Goode, Rushden. Certificate, Mr. A. Clifton, 8 Irchester-road, Rushden.

Taking measurements.—First prize (£3) and diploma, Mr. W. Goode, Rushden; second (£1/10/0/) and certificate, Mr. H. E. Dickenson, Manton-street, Irthlingboro’. Hon. mention, Mr. W. C. Tarry, of 61 Portland-road, Rushden.

Graded patterns.—First prize (£2) and diploma, Mr. H. J. Garner, Leicester; second (25/0) and certificate, Mr. A. Clifton, Irchester-road, Rushden.
