Employees EntertainedThe annual dinner and entertainment given by the firm Sanders and Sanders to their employees place in the Public Hall on Saturday evening when about 200 partook of the firm's hospitality. At the dinner Mr. W. Sanders and T. Sanders were present and assisted in the carving, together with Messrs. A. W. Neville, J. Radbourne, W. Bailey, G. Drage, F. Bollard, A. E. Lawrence, J. Cave, J. Gadsby, and A. Prigmore. After the dinner the following musical programme was gone through:Song, "You made me love you," Mr. S. Wheatley; song, "If I could only make you care," Miss E. Smith; song, "I hear you calling me," Mr. Walter Smith; quartette, "When evening's twilight;" Mr. W. Smith's party; song, "When I lost you," Miss N. Austin; song, "The Lost Chord," (descriptive), Mr. W. B. Hanger song, "Somewhere a Voice is Calling," Mr C. Bailey; duet, Messrs. Hodgkins and Shatford, song, "Who's your lady's friend?" Miss Eva Payne; quartette, "In Absence," Mr. W. Smith's party; song, "Just for to-night," Mr. W Bailey; song, "When love creeps in your heart," Miss E. Smith; song, Mr. C. Smith; song, "My heart is with you to-night," Miss N. Austin; song, Miss E. Payne. Dancing was also enjoyed, music being provided by Mrs. J. Payne (piano) and Mr. J. Payne (violin). The M.C.s were Messrs. Hanger, Hodgkins, and Smith. A musical chairs competition was won by Mr. R. Bettles. The arrangements were made by the following committee: Mrs. Smith Mrs. Payne, Messrs. Hanger, Smith, Hodgkins, F. Bollard, A. Lawrence, J. Cave, W. Bailey, J. Livesey, and W. Lack (secretary).
