Rushden and district boot repairers met at the Waverley Hotel on Friday evening and decided to form a local branch of the Boot Trades Association.
Mr. Edgar Leeding and Mr. T. W. Batch initiated the meeting, at which guidance was given by Mr. Arthur J. Hall, secretary of the Central District Council of the B.T.A., supported by two of the Northampton Association members.
Officials were appointed and business details will be discussed at a further meeting. Mr. Edgar Leeding is president and Mr. T. W. Batch treasurer. The office of secretary was accepted by Mr. R. N. Price, and incorporated accountant.
