Trade Mark “The Tecnic”

The firm was established at the commencement of the War and has manufactured for the British Army, Navy and Allied Forces upwards of 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand) Pairs of Boots.

Although the firm have devoted practically the whole of their output for Army requirements they have yet established a very high reputation for civilian Boots, and when the War is over will be in the front rank for Men’s and Youths’ High Class Footwear.

W. C. Tarry, the principal of the firm, before going to Rushden, was for four years with Messrs. Church & Co., Northampton, and for five years was superintendent of the Clicking Department for W Green & Sons, Rushden.

He also for five years took the classes in practical Boot designing and pattern cutting at Raunds, Irthlingborough and Finedon classes held under the Northamptonshire County Council Education Committee.

Honours Medallist, Northamptonshire County Council.

F. J. Tarry, Works Manager, was for some years with Messrs. Crockett & Jones, Northampton, where he gained valuable experience; he was also for five years with Messrs. W. B. Stevens, Northampton.

He has been to India and made a special study of the Indian markets. His valuable experience, gained first hand, should be of great assistance to the firm in the Export trade, and this department will be entrusted to his personal supervision.
