| The business was established by the present head of the concern 20 years ago. Beginning in a small way it has developed on sound lines and in normal times produces large quantities of goods for home and export. At present they are doing their share in providing footwear for the British and Allied Governments.
Mr. F. A. Skeeles is thoroughly practical in all he undertakes, and understands the art of shoe manufacture. He is ably assisted by his son, Mr. F. A. Skeeles, jun., and a sound business has been built up on medium class men’s footwear. Two other sons are serving their country. Saddler C. J. Skeeles is in the H.A.C. now with his regiment in Egypt, and Private A. Skeeles, S.B.R., with the Eastern Mediterranean Fleet. In the fullness of time it is hoped they will once more take their share in the above business.
