January last year saw the initiation of the above firm, and since that time the business has prospered exceedingly. Mr. James Jaques has had great experience in the trade and is at once keen and capable of guiding the destinies of any house. He was for many years connected with the firm of Jaques & Clark, Rushden, but retired in the year 1910 and founded the firm of Jaques & Son Ltd., Rushden, the same year. In January 1915 he started the Premier Boot Co. The production of 2,000 pairs per week of good, reliable footwear for the home and export markets is sufficient indication that the concern is an unqualified success, from an organisation point of view, and bids fair to make under more normal and peace conditions even greater headway in the near future.
