A fine business has been built up this firm, who have a great reputation for reliable footwear. Mr. James Hyde commenced his business career about 20 years ago, and the business has grown and prospered since that time, as is shown by the subsequent additions to the factory which is now one of the largest in the district. Medium grade footwear in welted machine sewn fair stitched and screwed are the principal goods produced, and they are turned out in large quantities for home and export at keen prices and of a thoroughly satisfactory nature. Mr. Hyde takes a keen interest in the public affairs of Rushden, and is large-hearted and generous, besides being keen and alert in all business matters. The firm at the present time are largely engaged on Government work for the British and the Allies.
