Boot & Shoe Trades Journal June 26th1914
The Coxton Shoe Co 1914

The grouping of Rushden manufacturers without including the Coxton Shoe Co. would be incomplete. We were agreeably surprised on going through their works the other day to note the rapid advance of this firm since our visit of about 12 months ago. Not only have they doubled their output, but immense strides have been made in perfecting their goods, workmanship having reached a high point of excellence.

We are told that their goods have already reached every corner of the Empire, and we came across consignments for Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, South Africa, etc. Going through the departments we came across many shoes of glace kid in various colours. We noted, Royal blue, pink, pearl blue, champagne, and other art shades, which, we were informed, have been ordered for the Eastern markets. Fancy designs, including clasp boots, striped, and revlets for the home market and the Continent are in abundance, and the great variety of lasts that our attention riveted upon made us feel that all could be catered for successfully, and that we were in the midst of a live firm, who will spare no effort in turning out the article to give complete satisfaction.

The principals, Mr. T. W. Cox and Mr. C. J. Newton, are always at the service of their clients, and any appointments given to their representatives, Mr. J. Leslie Robertson, of 2 Queen-street, Glasgow, who covers the North of England and Scotland; Mr. A. H. Meakin, who travels the remainder of England and Wales; and Mr. R. Graham, of Belfast, the representative of Ireland, will be attended to.
