A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Baptist Chapel last week, when Miss Daisy May Kendall, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Kendall, of 36 Queen Street, Rushden was married to Corporal E. Woodhouse, if the 24^th York and Lancs. Regiment, son of the late Mr. Herbert Woodhouse and Mrs. Starr, of Heeley, Sheffield. The Rev. R.C. Law officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother Mr. R. Kendall, was charmingly attired in white silk, with bridal veil and orange blossom, and carried a sheaf of white flowers, the gift of the bridegroom. She was attended by four bridesmaids Miss May Tyler (cousin of the bride) Miss Florrie Woodhouse (sister of the bridegroom) and Misses Miriam M Robinson and Beulah Desborough. Miss Tyler was attired in a saxe-blue crepe de chine dress and Georgette hat and Miss F. Woodhouse in pale blue voile with satin hat; and the Misses F. Robinson and B. Desborough in shell pink voile dresses with tulle hats. They all wore gold brooches, gifts of the bridegroom. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. E. Loake, brother in law of the bride. The bridegroom is home on leave from Germany, after four years in the army and he expects to return next week.
