Maggie Johnson writes "Joseph Bayes was my maternal great grandfather and his daughter Dora was my Granny. I thought you may be interested in the attached family photos. Despite many setbacks and tragedies in his life, he live to the grand old age of 82 and his family prospered in New Zealand."In 1924 their daughter Dora Bayes married Alfred Wilkes. The photo below shows Joseph and Eliza surrounded by family in the garden of their home in Eversleigh Rd, Takapuna."
