A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Peter’s Church, Rushden, on Whit Monday, the contracting parties being Mr. W. H. Wheeler, M.M., late of the 1/1 Herefordshire Regiment, of Little Marstow, Ruardean, Gloucestershire, and Miss Ivy Eunice Wills, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Wills, of 25 Pemberton-street, Rushden. The Rev. Ion Carroll (Vicar of St. Peter’s) officiated.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of cream voile with bridal bouquet of lilies and carnations, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were Miss Ethel and Miss Annie Wills, sisters of the bride, and wore tussore silk dresses and black picture hats. Each also wore a gold brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. Harry Brown, friend of the bridegroom, carried out the duties of best man. The happy couple were the recipients of many handsome and useful presents.
