Rushden Echo, 9th April 1915, transcribed by Gill Hollis
Wheatley – Hart

At St. Peter’s Church, Rushden, the wedding took place on Saturday of Mr. Harold Samuel Wheatley, son of Mr. Jabez Pulpher Wheatley, of Park-place, Rushden, to Miss Elsie Winifred Hart, second daughter of Mr. Joseph Hart, of Spencer-road, Rushden. The Rev. P. J. Richards (Vicar) officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a dress of pink satin, trimmed with old gold lace, and she wore a white silk hat, trimmed with orange blossom; she carried a bouquet of arum lilies and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids were Miss F. Hart and Miss F. Wheatley, who wore dainty dresses of blue. Mr. A. J. Wheatley, brother of the bridegroom, carried out the duties of best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride’s residence. The presents were very numerous and useful.
