Edward Herbert William Tuffrey of 34 Station Road Rushden of 34 Station Road Rushden son of Herbert Jesse Tuffrey and of Fanny Tuffrey his wife and Agnes Finch of 175 Wellingborough Road Rushden daughter of Herbert Finch and of Elizabeth Gertrude Finch his wife the latter deceased having duly made known their intention of taking each other in Marriage and public notice of their said intention having been given, the Proceedings of the said Edward Herbert William Tuffrey and Agnes Finch were allowed by the proper offices of the Northampton and Wellingborough Monthly Meeting of the religious Society of Friends.

Now these are to certify that for the solemnisation of their said Marriage, this twentieth day of the tenth Month in the Year One thousand nine hundred and thirty four they the said Edward Herbert William Tuffrey and Agnes Finch appeared at a public Meeting for Worship of the aforesaid Society in their Meeting House at Rushden AND the said Edward Herbert William Tuffrey taking the said Agnes Finch by the hand declared as followeth: Friends I take this my friend Agnes Finch to be my wife, promising through Divine assistance, and so long as we both on earth shall live, to be unto her a loving and faithful husband And the said Agnes Finch did then and there, in the said Assembly, declare as followeth: Friends I take this my Friend Edward Herbert William Tuffrey to be my husband, promising through Divine assistance, and so long as we both on earth shall live, to be unto him a loving and fruitful wife And the said Edward Herbert William Tuffrey and Agnes Finch as a further confirmation there and in testimony thereunto, did then and there, to these Presents set their hands.
