On Saturday at St. Peter’s Church the vicar (the Rev. Ion Carroll) officiated at the marriage of Miss Elizabeth an Eady, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Eady of 50 Sartoris Road to Mr. George Thurlow (late of the 13^th East Surrey Regt. and who was a prisoner of war in Germany) eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Thurlow of 153 Cromwell Road. The bride, who was attired in a dove coloured coat dress and silver grey hat, trimmed with georgette and pink velvet and carried a beautiful bouquet, was given away by her brother Mr. Charlie Eady and Mr. Herbert Groome, brother in law of the bride was best man. The bridesmaids were Miss Ivy Eady, sister of the bride and Miss Millie Thurlow, the bridegroom’s sister. Little Master Georgie Gooseman, nephew of the bride, acted as page. The reception was held in the B.W.T.A. Hall, there being present about 50 guests. The newly wedded pair were the recipients of many handsome and useful presents.
