The wedding of Sergt. Frederick William Swindall, Royal Horse Artillery, second son of Councillor and Mrs. T. Swindall, of “The Nest,” Moor-road, Rushden, to Miss Sarah Croot, youngest daughter of the late Mr. S. Croot and Mrs. Croot, of Windmill-road, Rushden, took place at the High-street Independent Wesleyan Church, Rushden, on Monday.  The Rev. C. J. Keeler (Pastor) officiated.  The bride was given away by her brother, Bombardier F. R. Croot, R.G.A., and Mr. T. J. Swindall, of the Royal Naval Sick Berth Reserve (brother of the bridegroom) acted as best man.  The bride was tastefully dressed in grey crepe-de-chine, with velour hat to match.  The newly-married couple left by the 1.24 train for Southend-on-Sea for their honeymoon, the bride’s travelling dress being a tailor-made fawn costume, with hat to match.  The bridegroom has served for 3½ years in France.
