The marriage took place very quietly, at the Parish Church, Wymington, on Easter Monday, of Mr. Joseph Smith, manager of the Rushden branch of the London Central Meat Co., to Mrs. Ellard, widow of the late Mr. John Ellard, of Rushden. The Rev. C. E. Drew officiated, and there was a large congregation in the church. Mr. A. Stratton, brother of the bride, acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mr. Stratton. Mr. and Mrs. Smith eventually left for London for the honeymoon. |
