WeddingWymington and Rushden families were united in the wedding which took place at St. Lawrence’s Church, Wymington on Saturday, when Miss Lilian Jessie Winsor, of Rose Cottage, Wymington, became the wife of Mr. Frank Smeathers, second son of Mr. A. Smeathers, of 85 Trafford-road, Rushden. The Rector (the Rev. A. S. Dodds) officiated. Led into Church by her eldest brother, Mr. W. Winsor, the bride looked becoming in a dress of powder blue crepe Milanese, a hat to match and stocking. She was attended by her niece, Miss Mary Winsor, who was daintily attired in mauve crepe-de-chine with hat to match. The bride’s bouquet was of white chrysanthemums and that of the bridesmaid was composed of bronze chrysanthemums, being the gifts of the bridegroom. The duties of best man were ably discharged by Mr. C. Fensom, friend of the bridegroom.
A reception was afterwards held at the bride’s home, only relatives attending, owing to the illness of the bride’s mother. The many handsome gifts included an oak mirror from the fellow workers of the bride and bridegroom at Messrs. A. Sargent and Sons, Rushden.
