Wellingborough News, 29th August 1902, transcribed by Kay Collins
Rushworth - Ablett

An interesting ceremony took place at the Independent Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, the event being the marriage of Miss Laura Ablett and Mr. Albert Lincoln Rushworth. The bride, who is the eldest daughter of the late Mr. W. Ablett, Rushden, was attired in a neat dress of white silk over flowered muslin, and was given away by Mr. A. Ablett. She was attended by Miss E. Ablett and Miss Rushworth as bridesmaids, who wore dresses of white flowered muslin. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Newell. The Rev. R. Shorten was the officiating minister. Later in the day the happy couple left Rushden for the Isle of Man, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bride’s travelling costume was of light blue freize.
