Rushden Echo, 15th June 1923, transcribed by Kay Collins
Miss Jennie Rivitt
The Coming-of-Age of Miss Jennie Rivitt, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Rivitt, of 29 Denmark-road, Rushden, was celebrated on her birthday, Saturday, at the B.W.T.A. Hall. About 70 guests sat down to a sumptuous tea served on artistically decorated tables. Miss Rivitt being a member of the Rushden Dramatic and Operatic Society, several other members were amongst the guests. Songs were given by Mr. F. G. Lilley, Mr. Percy Hart, and Mr. W. Ginns, and by Miss Rivitt herself. Games were played, and dancing took place to music provided by Mr. S. Weekley (piano) and Mr. Whitworth (violin). The festivities were kept up until 11.30. A large number of very choice gifts were received.
