Pratt - Dickens

Khaki Wedding—Yesterday at the Park-rd Baptist Church, the marriage took place of Trooper Frank Pratt (Midland-road), Rushden), Bedfordshire Yeomanry, to Miss Hilda Annie Dickens, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Dickens, of Glassbrook-road, Rushden. The Rev. G. Wainwright officiated. There were four bridesmaids—Misses May Lovell and Wilmott (friends of the bride), Miss Lily Dickens (sister of the bride), and Miss May Gramshaw (niece of the bridegroom). They wore gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. A. Gramshaw (brother-in-law of the bridegroom) acted as best man. The bride wore a white silk dress, with bridal veil and orange blossom, and carried a bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids wore white silk and black satin hats, and carried bouquets, the gift of the bridegroom. There were many useful presents.
