Rushden Echo, 23rd June 1916, transcribed by Gill Hollis

Peacock – Travill

The marriage was solemnised at St. Peter’s Church, Rushden, on Sunday, by the Rev. P. J. Richards, of Miss Edith Travill, daughter of Mr. H. W. Travill, of North-street, Rushden, to Pte. Cecil Peacock, son of Mr. James Peacock, of Robert-street, Rushden. The bride, who was smartly costumed in brown, was given away by her father. There were two bridesmaids — Misses Elsie Travill (sister of the bride) and L. Turney. The duties of best man were discharged by Mr. T. Gibson (Northampton). A reception at the bride’s home followed the ceremony. A number of useful wedding gifts were received.
