The wedding took place of Miss Edith Harbour, eldest daughter of Mr. Samuel Harbour, 26, Glassbrook-road, and Mr. Bert Partridge, youngest son of Mr. F. Partridge, of High-street, Riseley, at St. Peter's Church, Rushden, on July 31st, the Vicar (Rev. Ion Carroll) officiating. The bride's father gave her away. She was suitably attired in a crepe-de-chine dress trimmed with satin, and a bridal veil trimmed with orange blossom. Miss Caroline Partridge (sister of the bridegroom) and Miss May Ball, of Wellingborough (friend of the bride), were, the bridesmaids. They wore silk shantung dresses and black hats, and also wore gold brooches, the gifts of the bridegroom. The best man was Mr. Cyril Harbour, brother of the bride. After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride's home. Mr. and Mrs. Partridge left later on for Yarmouth for their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a costume of navy-blue taffeta silk. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a silver rose bowl, and the bride's to bridegroom a silver-mounted stick. There were also many other handsome presents.
