The Rushden Echo, 13th March, 1914, Transcribed by Gill Hollis
Parker – Knight

A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, the happy couple being Miss Nellie Knight, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Knight, of 65, Newton-road, Rushden, and Mr. Herbert Parker, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Parker, of High-street South, Rushden. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. E. Robson, M.A. (Rector).

The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. J. Knight, and was tastefully dressed in a brown cashmere skirt and a cream blouse with a brown hat trimmed with white silk and cream roses. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Misses Florence and Beatrice Knight, who wore dresses of white silk trimmed with silk insertion. They also wore black hats lined with pink silk and trimmed to match large plumes at the back.
