Mrs Miriam Wilkins, wife of Mr Jacob Wilkins, a well-known retired railway foreman, of 57 Hayway, Rushden, passed away on Monday after being in failing health for some time. A Native of Irchester, Mrs Wilkins was married 56 years ago and came to Rushden six years later, becoming a member of the Park-road Methodist Church. There is no family. The funeral took place on Thursday afternoon, the service at the home being followed by cremation at Kettering.
