Obituary – An aged and highly respected inhabitant of Rushden passed away on Wednesday in the person of Mrs. Fanny Wheeler, aged 74, wife of Mr. Henry Wheeler, of Church-street, Rushden. The deceased lady was a daughter of the late Mr. John Knight, of Rushden, and a sister of Councillor F. Knight, J.P., of Rushden. A strong Church woman, she regularly attended St. Mary’s Church until failing health prevented her. For the past 12 years she suffered intensely, but bore her inflictions with remarkable patience. She leaves a husband, two sons, and four daughters to mourn their loss. The funeral will take place to-morrow in the Rushden cemetery at 3.30 and the first portion of the service will be conducted at St. Mary’s Church by the Rector.
