Rushden Echo & Argus, 29th September 1944
Mr H Webb

After an illness of three days, Mr. Henry Webb, of 16 Dayton-street, Rushden, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 20th.

Mr. Webb was 81 years of age and a native of Willington, Beds. He came to Rushden as a boy and in later years was employed by the Rushden and District Gas Co., retiring about twelve months ago owing to ill-health. He was a member of the Windmill Club. His wife died 13 years ago, and a son, a daughter and a grandson (who is in the Forces) are bereaved.

The funeral took place on Saturday, and the service was conducted at the house by the Rev. E. E. Bromage. Mourners were: Mr. G. Webb (son), Miss F Webb (daughter), Mr. C. Hart and Mrs. G. Webb (brother-in-law and daughter-in-law), Mrs. G. Clayton and Mrs. A. Tee (nieces), Mrs. F. Frost and Mr. P. Underwood (friends).

Mr. T. Watson and Mr. Spicer represented the Gas Co.

Messrs. T. Swindall and Sons were the undertakers.
