Rushden Argus, 27th March 1914, transcribed by Kay Collins
Mr. & Mrs. William Watts
Pathetic Bereavement
Rushden Husband and Wife Die within a Week

A pathetic death occurred at Rushden on Friday, when Mrs. Wm. Watts, of Rectory-road, Rushden, passed away within three days of her husband's demise.

Mr. William Watts died from heart disease on Tuesday, at the age of 73, after suffering for four years. He was a native of Wellingborough, but had resided in Rushden for the past 40 years. His widow was seriously ill at the time and the shook of her husband’s death had a sad effect upon. the lady, and the funeral arrangements so greatly upset her that she died on Friday. The deepest sympathy will be felt with the son and two daughters who are so suddenly bereft of both parents.
