Elsie Underwood

THE DEATH took place on Wednesday morning of Elsie Underwood, the little four-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Underwood, of 21, South-terrace.  The little girl had only been ill a week from influenza.  Much sympathy is felt with the family, as Mrs. Underwood had already been bereaved by the death from influenza of her sister, the late Mrs. Harriet King, of Northampton, whose daughter, Mary, aged eight, also succumbed four days prior to her mother’s death from the same disease.  At the present time also Mr. Underwood has four others of his family ill with influenza, the doctor giving but little hopes of the recovery of the baby, Florrie, aged 17 months.
