The Rushden Echo, 3rd December 1909, transcribed by Kay Collins
Mrs. Tailby

DEATH OF MRS. TAILBY—We regret to record the death, which took place early on Monday morning last, of Mrs. Tailby, widow of the late Mr. George Tailby, of The Limes, Stanwick. Mrs. Tailby, who was 68 years of age, had been attended by Dr. D. Crew, of Higham Ferrers. Chronic bronchitis was the cause of death. The deceased, who was married to the late Mr. Tailby about 48 years ago, was a sister of the late Mr. John Jaques of Rushden. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Tailby resided at Rushden, and they moved to Stanwick about 13 years ago. For many years Mrs. Tailby was a member of the Rushden Independent Wesleyan Church. She leaves four sons and three daughters. The funeral took place yesterday, the Rev. R. Watkinson of Higham Ferrers being the officiating minister. A short service was held at the house, and the committal service was read at the graveside in the churchyard.
