Mrs Jane Tailby

The funeral of Mrs Jane Tailby (86), of Purvis-road, Rushden, took place last Friday afternoon. The service was conducted in the Park-road Baptist Church by the minister, the Rev R Percy Jones, and Mrs Jones accompanied at the organ for the hymns “Angel voices ever singing” and “Ten thousand times ten thousand.”

Mrs Tailby was the oldest surviving member of the church, and many representatives of the church attended. The Rushden B.W.T.A.U. Branch of which Mrs Tailby was founder, attended in a body.

The mourners were: Messrs Wilfred, Reginald, Arthur, Frederick, George and Charles Bayes (nephews), Mrs F G Botterill, Mrs Charlie Allen, of Bedford, and Miss Hetty Bayes (nieces), Mr F G Botterill, Mrs W Bayes and Mrs Jack Bayes.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by the deceased lady’s nephew, Mr F Bayes.
