Sudden Death of a Rushden Woman
Collapsed After Visiting The Pictures

After Visiting The Palace, Rushden, last Friday evening, with her husband, Mrs Louisa Stevenson, aged 66, of 4 John-street, collapsed on her return home and died in a chair.

Mrs Stevenson was the wife of Mr George Stevenson and the mother of Mr George Stevenson, jun., a well-known local footballer. She had been suffering from heart trouble for some time, and the doctor, on his arrival, was able to give a certificate at once, and no inquest was considered necessary.

The funeral of Mrs Stevenson was at Earls Barton on Tuesday, and a service was held in the church. The mourners were Mr G Stevenson (husband), Mrs G Carter, Miss Elsie Stevenson, Mr G E S Stevenson, Mrs R Ainge, Mrs H Denton, Mrs J Cox, Mrs H H Perkins (son and daughters), Master Bobby Carter (grandson), Mrs J Elderton (sister), Mr J Freeman (brother), Mrs G E S Stevenson (daughter-in-law), Mr G Carter, Mr H Denton, Mr J Cox, Mr R Ainge, and Mr H H Perkins (sons-in-law).
