Funeral of Mr. A. Spriggs, of Rushden

Mr. Allen Spriggs, of 13 Duck Street, Rushden, was laid to rest in Rushden Cemetery on Wednesday. For the past 40 years he had worked as an Agricultural labourer for Mr. Robert Marriot and was a well-known figure at local shows. He was at work until a week before his death on Sunday, which followed an attack of bronchitis. He was 71 years of age. The Rev. G. Brooke-Hunt conducted the service at St. Mary’s Church. The mourners included Mrs. Spriggs (widow), Mr and Mrs. Z. Spriggs, Northampton, Mr. and Mrs. A. Spriggs, Higham Ferrers, Mr. and Mrs. H. Spriggs (sons and daughters-in-law), Master Billie Spriggs (grandson), Mr. and Mrs. George Tyler (friends). Mr. G. A. Spriggs (son) lives in Canada.
Messrs. A. Sanders Ltd., carried out the funeral arrangements. |
