Mrs. Lizzie Frances Smith, wife of Mr. George Smith, of 30, Sartoris-road, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 58 years. She had been a semi-invalid for a great number of years, and suffered from heart disease. Prior to her illness she was a member of Stanwick Choir, being a native of Stanwick, and a great church worker. She came to Rushden on her marriage, 36 years ago, and was for a time a member of St. Peter’s Mothers Meeting. She leaves a husband, five sons and one daughter. The funeral will take place on Monday, at 2.15, at St. Peter’s Church.
