Mr. William Ernest Smart

THE DEATH occurred on Saturday at 80, Cromwell-road, of Mr. William Ernest Smart, aged 39, the result of tuberculosis. Deceased was taken ill about 14 months ago. He formerly worked at Messrs. Jaques and Son's factory. Mr. Smart was a member of the Rushden Athletic, Band, and West End Clubs. The flags at each club were flown at half-mast on the announcement of his death. Deceased leaves, besides the widow, two little daughters. The parents lost a young son just before Mr. Smart was taken ill. Much sympathy has been expressed with Mrs. Smart in her great bereavement. At the funeral, which took place yesterday, the Rev P. E. Robson officiated. Several representatives of the clubs were present. Arthur Sanders carried out, the funeral arrangements.
