Mrs Mary Jane Shortland

The Death—occurred on Wednesday of Mrs Mary Jane Shortland, aged 71, widow of the late Mr John Shortland, who predeceased her by about nine years. He was the founder of a business of sewers and stitchers to the boot trade with premises in Milton-place, Rushden, and was also organist at the Zion Chapel for many years. Mrs Shortland had been suffering for a considerable time from bronchitis and heart trouble, but she did not take to her bed until Saturday. Deceased leaves five sons and three daughters to mourn their loss.
