Mrs. Mary Eliza Seckington
Widow of Florist Dies

Widow of Mr. Harry M. Seckington, whose family had been in business as florists and seedsmen in Rushden High Street for 70 years, Mrs. Mary Eliza Seckington died at her home on Wednesday.

Mr. Seckington died in 1939, and since the following year his wife had lived at 5, Westbourne Grove.

For many years she had been a member of St. Peter’s Church (where her husband was a churchwarden for 13 years) and of the Mothers’ Union.

Two daughters, Miss May Seckington and Miss Violet Seckington, are bereaved.

A former curate of St. Peter’s, Rushden (the Rev. A. J. Stevens of Canterbury) will conduct the funeral service on Saturday.
