Mr John Thomas Sanders

The death occurred on Friday last, after an illness since Christmas, of Mr John Thomas Sanders (41), the son of Mrs W Clayton, of 15, East Grove, Rushden. Mr Sanders served in France in the War and was twice wounded. He was employed at the C.W.S. factory and was a member of the Territorial Institute. The funeral took place on Monday, when the Rev. T W Gill (Minister of the Park-road Baptist Church), officiated.

The mourners were: Mr W Clayton (step-father); Mrs W Clayton (mother); Miss F Sanders (sister); Mr F Clayton (step-brother); Mrs G Charles (step-sister); Mrs L Butler (step-sister); Mrs R Brown (step-sister); Miss A Clayton (step-sister); Miss L Clayton (step-sister); Mr C R Clayton (step-brother); Miss M Harris (fiancée); Mrs F Clayton (sister-in-law).

Mr T Richardson and Mr C Hefford represented the Finishing Department of the Rushden C.W.S. Boot Works.

Mrs H Pollard was unable to be present owing to illness.
