Obituary – We much regret to record the death, which took place last night of Mr. George Sanders, aged 69, father of Mr. Arthur Sanders, builder, Rushden. Mr. George Sanders lived for many years in Hayway Road, Rushden and worked for Messrs. A. Groome and Sons for thirty years. Deceased was an official of the Rushden Trade Club in its earlier days. He was a Sunday School teacher and class leader of the Higham Ferrers Wesleyan Church for a long period. Of later years he had lived at Willaston near Crewe, but removed back to Rushden about a month ago. Death was the result of cancer, from which he had suffered for about twelve months. Deceased leaves four sons, (two of whom are in America), three daughters and nine grandchildren. The funeral will take place on Monday.
