Mrs. Elizabeth Reid

The Death occurred on Wednesday after a long period of failing health, of Mrs. Elizabeth Reid, widow of Mr. J. T. Reid, at her home, Wellingborough-road. Mrs. Reid had been the holder of the “odd” licence of the place since the death of her husband about 18 months ago. She was a Miss White and was born in an old house (long since demolished) in what was known as the “Tan-yard” near South End Schools. Mrs. Reid was a member of St. Peter’s Church, though unable to attend for some time past. There are left to mourn their loss two sons, Mr. Arthur Reid, of Detroit, U.S.A., and Mr. Bernard Reid, and three daughters, Mrs. F. T. Browning, of Higham Ferrers, Mrs. Coney, of Colchester, and Miss Ethel Reid. The funeral will take place on Monday.
