Mrs Florence Powell

The funeral of the late Mrs. Powell, wife of Mr. Samuel Powell, photographer, of Wellingborough, formerly of High-street, Rushden, whose death we announced in last week’s Rushden Echo, took place on Monday afternoon at the New Cemetery at Wellingborough. An impressive ceremony was held at All Saints’ Church, conducted by the Rev. W. F. Terry, who also read the committal sentences at the graveside. The coffin bore the inscription:-

FLORENCE POWELL
Died March 23rd, 1917
Aged 49 years.

The mourners were Mr. S. Powell (husband) and Miss Edna Powell (daughter), Mrs. Eden (sister), Miss L. Powell, Mr. and Mrs. N. Powell, Ald. G. S. and Mrs. Whiting, all of Northampton, Mrs. T. Hockney, of Bedford, Mr. Fillimore, Mr. T. Watson, of Rushden, Mr. A. Watson, of Wellingborough, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Linnit, of Rushden.
