Death of Miss Pingstone

Rushden


MISS Vera Gwendoline Pingstone, manageress of the Rushden branch of Phipps and Son, Ltd., died this morning at St. Matthew's Nursing Home, Northampton, after a short illness.

Miss Pingstone, who was 55, lived at 280 Wellingborough Road, Rushden. She had been with the firm for 36 years and succeeded her father, the late Mr. W. H. Pingstone, as manager of the Rushden branch.

Miss Pingstone was a member of the Rushden Mission Church and was for some years secretary of the Sunday School. She is survived by a brother, Mr. Gordon Pingstone, who lives at Beckenham, Kent.

MISS Vera Gwendoline Pingstone, 280 Wellingborough Road, Rushden, manageress of the Rushden branch of Phipps and Son Ltd., Shoe mercers, Northampton, since 1938, who died on November 23, left £15,246 gross, £14,934 net value (duty paid £844). Probate has been granted to Lloyds' Bank Ltd., the sole executor.

She left £1,000 to the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in memory of her parents, and £500 each to Dr. Barnardo's Homes and The Empire Rheumatism Council.
