Mr. Harry Pendered

The funeral of the late Mr. Harry Pendered, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Pendered, of Station-road, Rushden, took place on Monday, the Rev. P. J. Richards (Vicar of St. Peter’s) officiating.  The deceased, who was 25 years of age, died from consumption and heart trouble on Thursday, March 29th.  For some years he was assistant to Mr. Carter, ironmonger, and afterwards to Messrs. Clipson Brothers, in the same shop.  For a considerable time he had been in failing health, and he had not been able to follow his occupation since September last, though he was out as recently as the Saturday before his death.  Mr. J. S. Clipson and Mr. J. L. Clipson attended the funeral to represent the firm, and also sent a wreath.  There were some lovely floral tributes placed on the coffin.  The coffin bore the inscription:-

HARRY PENDERED
Died March 29th 1917
Aged 25 years.

The mourners were: Father and mother, sister and Mr. R. Thompson (uncle). Mr. and Mrs. W. Thompson (uncle and aunt), Mr. and Mrs. F. Jones (uncle and aunt), Mr. and Mrs. T. Pendered (uncle and aunt), Mr. and Mrs. H. Thompson (uncle and aunt), Mr. C. Pendered (cousin) and Mrs. Brown (aunt), Mrs. Moore (aunt), Mrs. Desborough (aunt), Mrs. Perkins (cousin), Mrs. Leeson (cousin), Miss B. Brown, Miss I. Moore, Miss M. Brown and Mrs. C. Pendered (cousins), Messrs. J. S. and J. L. Clipson, and others.
