Mr. Frank Parrott Passes Away

Rushden Veteran’s Death - Athletic Club’s Oldest Member

  The death occurred on Saturday of Mr. Francis (Frank) Parrott, one of Rushden’s oldest and most respected inhabitants. Deceased who was ill only a week, celebrated his 90th birthday last April. A native of Kimbolton, he had been in Rushden for over half a century, and resided at 21, Pratt-road, the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. Attley, his son-in-law and daughter. He was the oldest living member of the Athletic Club of which he had been a life member for many years. He is survived by three daughters, his wife having died some three years ago.

  The funeral took place on Tuesday, the Rev. G. Hatt Lipscomb (curate of St. Mary’s) officiating. The principal mourners were Mr. and Mrs. E. Attley (son-in-law and daughter), Mrs. Shepperson (daughter), Mr. Frank Parrott (nephew) of Wellingborough, Mr. and Mrs. F. Goodman (son-in-law and daughter), Mr. and Mrs. A. Lines (grandchildren), Mr. A. Parrott (nephew), of Wellingborough, and Miss C. Lawman (friend). Numerous beautiful wreaths included one from the Athletic Club.

  The family of the late Mr. F. Parrott desire to thank all kind friends for messages of sympathy and for all floral tokens.
