The funeral took place on Monday of Mr. Ernest Page, who died, aged 71, at his home, 20 Sartoris Road, Rushden, last Thursday. He was an active member of Rushden Windmill Club, and during part of his forty years' membership served as sick club secretary and flower show secretary. Mr. Page was born at Higham Ferrers, but lived most of his life at Rushden. During the First World War he played in the band of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, and as a young man he was also in Rushden Town Band. He retired two years ago from his work for Eaton and Co. Ltd., Irchester Road, Rushden. Mr. Page leaves a widow, Mrs. Lily Page, and a brother. The funeral service took place at 20 Sartoris Road, Rushden, and was followed by cremation at Kettering.
