Miss Elizabeth Mary Packwood

The death took place on Sunday from senile decay, of Miss Elizabeth Mary Packwood, aged 72, of 94b Wellingborough-road, Rushden. Miss Packwood, a native of Rushden, was a member of an old and highly respected Rushden family. Her father, Mr. John Packwood, was for half-a-century a deacon of the Succoth Baptist Chapel, under the ministry of the late Mr. Drawbridge, and was one of the founders of the present building.

Her uncle was for many years parish clerk and relieving officer for the town. The deceased lady leaves one brother and one sister. The funeral took place on Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. R. C. Law. The family mourners were Mr and Mrs John Packwood (brother and sister-in law), Mrs Adams (sister), and Mr. Northern (friend). Mr Arthur Sanders carried out the funeral arrangements.
