Mrs. Lucy Owen, Rushden

After an illness of nine months Mrs. Lucy Owen, wife of Mr. G. E. Owen, of 30, Tennyson-road, Rushden, passed away on Sunday at the age of 37 years.

Mrs. Owen was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Brice, of Pychley-road, and had spent the whole of her life in Rushden. She attended the Highfield Baptist Church and the Tuesday women’s meetings. Her husband is an employee of Messrs. Eaton and Co., boot manufacturers, and there are two sons.

The funeral took place at Rushden on Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. R. Percy Jones, of the Park-road Baptist Church, conducting a service at the house in the presence of the following mourners:- Mr. G. Owen (husband), Mrs. W. Veal, Coventry (sister), Mrs. A. Yates, Coventry, Mr. Albert Brice, Mrs. F. Norton, Bedford, Mr. J. Brice, Mrs. H. Margetts (sisters and brothers), Mr. H. Margetts (brother-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. J. Owen (father-in-law and mother-in-law), Mr. and Mrs. A. Boon (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Mrs. J. Brice (sister-in-law) and Mrs. J. Melbourne (friend).
