LESS than three weeks after her diamond wedding day, Mrs. Janet Ada Neal, 217, Wellingborough Road, Rushden, died at her home on Saturday, aged 80.

She was married to Mr. Sherwood Neal at Irchester Parish Church on Boxing Day, 1895, and they celebrated their diamond wedding with a family party.

She leaves a widower, one son (Mr. R. Neal), two daughters (Mrs. M. Neville and Mrs. D. Gibbons) and four grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at Rushden Mission Church on Tuesday, followed by interment at Rushden Cemetery.
